Although they are different areas within the WEB world, many people confuse the concepts and think they are the same thing. But is there really a difference? And which would she be?
WEB development enters into a concept in which the programmer develops the website/system using tools, such as coding, to elaborate the product, without a focus on the aesthetic part, but on the functionality, that is, if things work as they are to work.
Although websites and systems have something aesthetic, this is not 100% the focus of web development. But that doesn't mean that the web developer will leave the site or the system anyway from an aesthetic point of view. After all, within web development there is a Front-End area, in which you want to structure how the features will be displayed to the user and how he will interact with them within the product.
And that's when we have Web Design, something that complements web development. Web Design is more concerned with the aesthetic part, with the color palette, among other characteristics. There is a greater concern with the content itself, not with what makes the content be presented that way.
An easy analogy would be to imagine that in the construction of a commercial building, the person who will build the structure of the building would be the web developer and the person who will think about the structure of the commercial building, that is, the appearance of it itself, would be the web design .
