Despite their differences, back-end and front-end developers complement each other in most cases and especially when it comes to web development. But do you know the difference between the two areas?
As the name suggests, the back-end developer works in the “back” of the application. He is the one who, in general terms, is responsible for implementing the business rule.
The back-end developer, when focused, does not touch the visual part of the application. Sometimes a system programmer, such as a commercial and even scientific application, can be called a back-end developer. In these cases, this developer also works a little with the visual part.
As far as the front-end developer is concerned, he is responsible for “bringing life” to the interface. It works with the part of the application that interacts directly with the user. Therefore, it is important that this developer is also concerned about the user experience.
It is common for some front-end professionals to work more with the “creative” and “artistic” part of the application. There are also those who have a profile more focused on the back-end, even acting as a front-end. These are more familiar with programming and its nuances. One type of profile does not invalidate the other.
